So you just moved to Colorado, or your best friend did or maybe you have been here a while! Either way here is your quintessential guide to everything you need for Colorado life – in my opinion! Over my seven+ years here these have been either essential for me and my friends or what I see people walking around with all the time. I give you – Your Colorado Gift Guide! Check out all my gift guides here.
Patagonia Puff – Everyone has a Patagonia Puff jacket and for good reason, it’s super warm, breathable, lightweight packable and stylish. One of the most versatile jackets I own, I pack it forever season in the mountains. Some people opt for the nano-puff but I prefer the down sweater version with a hood (it’s warmer). Always write your name in this jacket, everyone has one. I wear a small. And yes people call if a puff – as in “Where is my puff!?”
Melanzana – These ridiculously soft pullovers and jackets can only be bought at the Melanzana store in Leadville, CO near Vail. And each one is hand made so you never know if they will have your size, color combo or even the style you want, but when it comes to Melenzana you gotta take what you can get. Clay and I each got one as a wedding gift and we love them!
Lo & Sons Weekender – Okay I haven’t seen everyone use a Lo & Son’s Catalina Weekender but I have had one for a few years and love it. The bottom is a separate compartment that fits two pairs of boots perfectly. I can fit all my clothes and toilets in the top half making it the perfect weekend adventure bag.
Patagonia Black Whole Duffle – These bags come in a variety of size and fits so much stuff. Clay uses this as his weekender bag but a smaller version would be perfect to keep all your ski gear together.
Spirit of The Herbs = CBD! You can’t live in CO without loving CBD. Spirit of the Herbs is made right here in Denver and its hands down the best CBD salve I have ever, ever used.
Denver Passport – This little book called, Denver Passport will get you drink specials all over town and in the mountains
Chacos – Until you actually wear them you probably hate them. But Chacos are hands down the most practical and comfortable shoes to wear in summer here. You can hike, bike, raft, paddle, swim literally anything in them. This year Clay and I made custom Chacos we love. The real questions here is.. to toe strap or not to toe strap? I like both!
Lems Boulder Boot – Super light-weight and packable the Lems Boulder boot are man’s best friend. Plus, they are made in Boulder.
