When I was younger, I mean like 7th grade I was all about the bushy thick eyebrows. I had decided I was never going to pluck them and I would just look like Brook Shields in Blue Lagoon.
My mother, however, had other ideas. She eventually pinned me down and plucked my eyebrows. Literally.
I remember going over to my best friend Emily’s house for a birthday party and people complimenting my eyebrows. YAY!! My mom was right (duh)! I did need to clean up my brows. Thanks Mom!
Well, I got a little carried away with my new-found beauty and started plucking my right eyebrow…pretty intensely. Lucky for me and the rest of my eyebrow, my mom caught me mid pluck sesh. Unfortunately, those plucked hairs never grew back so now my right eyebrow is a little thin depending on how often I get my eyebrows waxed.
My thin right brow has never really bothered me to me, it does stick out in photos. Making my left side my better side.
Every once, in a while I would see the red Maybelline eyebrow pencil floating around in my makeup drawer and use it. But it has never become a habit… a daily part of my routine. Like my mom who loves those little red pencils.
So when Influenster& Maybelline sent me the new Maybelline Brow Drama® Pomade Crayon Badge brow pencils I was excited but also a little hesitant. Mostly because these “eye brown pencils” are not pencils but CRAYONS and are HUGE. I took one look and thought, this stuff is going make my eyebrows so thick and dark… and it did and I LOVE IT. And literally so has everyone else who has seen me use it.
After my box arrived I showed a girlfriend who already has thick beautiful brows my new makeup tool. A few days later she texted me to find what brand it was. She had been looking around Sephora and couldn’t find it! Silly girl, it’s Maybelline!
On the way to a wedding in Santa Barbara, we got ready for the welcoming party in the car. Bumping down the road, I told my GF’s all about my new beauty trick. The rest of the weekend, any time we got ready someone asked to borrow my eyebrow pencil! And like clock-work a few days later I got another text asking what brand made that eyebrow pencil we had used!
Seriously this has become a part of my everyday beauty routine and I love it! I switch it up between the Deep Brown (used above) for a more dramatic look or use the Blonde for more subtle look. But really I love both. Test them out and let me know what you think! Any other cool brow tools I should use?
