The Jerry Garcia Family, LLC in collaboration with StraxArt recently release a collection of Jerry Garcia original art. Besides, playing guitar for one of the greatest bands of all time, Jerry was an avid painter. Currently, the gallery shows 36 pieces in several different mediums including paint, charcoal, airbrush and markers and even oil pastels.
I can’t even believe it’s over… 6 shows in 3 states in just over a week. Wow, what an amazing adventure. Saturday in Atlanta was one of the the best Phish shows I have ever seen. A funky dance party that went all night. Plus 46 Days>Sneaking>46 days! Heater!
Dallas was 2 nights of bust outs and rarities a real I thought Sunday Vegas was a heater and so fun to take one of my dear friends to her 2nd show ever.
As always Halloween in Vegas is such hands down the best. Phish’s musical costume was David Bowie’s The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. was perfect. It really showed how incredibly talented they are and the range of music they can play. I also loved guitarless Trey up there singing his heart out.

Big Boat, Phish 13th studio album is now available to buy, download and stream just about everywhere. Produced by Bob Ezrin and recorded in Vermont, New York and Nashville the album features some songs we have heard over the last few years and some totally new songs.
My favorite of the new new songs is Petrichor this beautiful composition falls in line with YEM and Divided Sky. Since Friday this song has been played 2x and beautifully executed each time. Other new new song fav’s are Miss You and More.
No Man In No Man’s Land and Blaze on are of course 2 of my favorite. NMINML has been a big jam vehicle for the Summer especially at the Gorge N1.
Fun Fact: The album version of Things People Do is actually Page’s iPhone recording from his living room piano! The band preferred this version over all the studio versions they made.
Phish kicked off Fall tour with 2 nights in Charleston and last night (Sunday) in Jacksonville. Heavily mixing in song from the Big Boat the shows have been strong. Like summer not a lot of jamming but everything is played very tight.
Fall tour continues with Nashville this week. I will hop on Tour Friday in Atlanta for 2 show then head with them to Dallas for 2 nights. Phish will close our the tour with 4 nights in Vegas. I will be flying in Sunday for the last two nights including the always special Halloween Show!
When you love Phish, you start collecting a lot of phish stuff, official Phish gear to lots tees and more poster than you can possibly frame in a year. I discovered You Enjoy My Shirt when a girlfriend of mine was rocking a Fishman pocket square tank top. I immediately checked out her Etsy Shop and fell in love with all of Lisa’s Phish creations. From Fishman flags to donut bikinis this girl has everything a Phish gal can dream of!
That’s why I am so excited to partner with Lisa to give one lucky phan a pair of Fishman Leggings just in time for Fall tour! Enter to win by following me and You Enjoy My Shirt on social media via the widget bellow. You can also enter on Intagram too!
When did you first get into Phish:
I first started getting into Phish in high school. My best friend and nnext doorneighbor introduced me. I have to credit him for getting me so into the band. We used to go to a a bunch of local shows (not Phish) together and have been show-buddies ever since!
Khruangbin… Khruangbin… any idea how you might pronounce that? Well unless you have seen this West Texas band in concert, where they actually teach the entire audience how to pronounce their name… you will never get it. The G is silent. So its sounds more like Krun – Bin but fast, Krunbin.
So now that you got the name down let’s talk about how amazing their music is. I stumbled across this band on Spotify back in 2015 and added their song “Dern Kala” to my Stared Playlist. Like most songs on that playlist, I know the music but couldn’t tell you the band or even the name of the song (terrible, I know). SO fast forward to Saturday night of Lockn’, and my Gf is telling me that I have to go to this late night with them. I told her I had never heard of them, and she replied with “Yes you have, they are on your Starred Playlist!” Touche Melanie, touche.
So off we went to The Woods stage to see Khrugabin. Lockn’ was jam packed with amazing concerts but Khurgabin might have been the best show I saw all weekend (besides Phish and the Dusters). Comprised of Laura Lee on Bass, Mark Speer on Guitar, and D.J. on Drums these three create beautiful psychedelic Thai Funk. One moment you are totally chilled out and the next you are up and grooving.
I was lucky enough to catch them at Larimer Lounge a few weeks later and pick up a signed poster. Not only do I love their music, but I love all their artwork and their over-all look.
They are currently touring the UK and Europe but will soon play a string of shows in Texas, If you can make it GO.
So after a lot of back and forth, I am headed to the Lockn Festival in Virginia. I am beyond excited to attend this festival but dreading the 4-hour flight to DC. The line up is like a dream come true with almost no overlapping shows. Two nights of Phish sandwich a night of Tedeski Trucks, MMJ and Phil Lesh & Friends aka Everyone! I will be instagram, story-ing (is that a thing), snapping and tweeting from the event and maybe even have a blog post with the free wifi!
The last weekend of June means 3 rowdy nights of Widespread Panic at Red Rocks. This year was the first time in 4 years that I was actually here for the entire run. Clay and I both had friends in from all over the country so it was fun to play tour guide at Red Rocks and around Denver during the day. Of the three shows 2nd set Saturday was my favorite. You can check out the setlist and stream the shows on PanicStream.
Day one at Bonnaroo is a wrap! We had a great day at the Well Dunn tent. Followed by a fabulous night of dancing. I had a solo adventure last night as all of my friends are arriving today. Volfpeck was incredible – can’t wait to see them in July at Red Rocks. I caught a little of Borns before heading to Lizzo which was AMAZING. This girl/act/group is going to be the next big thing. I would love to be one of her backup dancers. Floozies through down an epic dance party and I wrapped up the night dancing on the Kalliope stage to some of my favorite jams. On to day two!
