I remember the long dog days of summer when things really started to get boring… but I have not felt that once this summer. I can’t believe its already mid-august and I have barely checked off my Colorado Summer To Do list. But really m the only one to blame booking back to back trips but I love to travel and they have all been for music or friends and those two things make my world go round. Tonight, we head to Red Rocks for Jim James and tomorrow we go camping! Finally sometime in the woods! The next three weekends are back to back traveling – Magnaball, Telluride and Newport, RI!
Plan A Trip: Cuba! That’s right Cuba! The travel embargo has not totally been lifted but you can still go and my lovely blogger friends Lesley and Ellen went a few weeks ago with Conscious Cuba. Check out Ellen’s trip here.
Catch a Ride: Rally Bus is the Uber of busses, say you want to get from point A to B and its WAY longer than a cab ride away. Just set up a Rally share the link and when enough people join a rally bus gets “tilted” so to say, and voilà you know have a safe and easy ride from point A to B. Genius.
Make This: When I was back in the South at my family’s lake house I lived off of boiled peanuts and peaches. Nothing is better than a perfect peach on a summer day. Georgia, from the Comfort of Cooking, just took one of my favorite meals to the next level with peaches – Peach and avocados Caprese. I will be bringing this easy dish to my next cookout.
Shop: Everyone knows I can’t get enough jumpsuits and rompers, but the same goes for overalls. I snagged a super soft pair last year from Express and kind of one a white pair or these super hip bell bottom ones.
